In each book, you’ll find a character that changes while the story continues, for good or for bad, or maybe stay the same. This is called characters arcs. The most common type is the positive arc that makes a character become a better or moral person and for today I’m going to be using this to describe the character from Memory of Things named Kyle.

Kyle thinks he is selfish by not helping the mysterious girl more than he is and hiding some of the clues, at first glance, it seems wrong but the truth is that he is helping her even though he thinks he is not because she doesn’t want to remember.
His deepest emotional wound is that he believes that he will never be as his father and his uncles, strong will, intelligent, and dedicated. His father and uncle (Paul) always tell him to let the music be and that his entire family was firefighters and that he should be one too.
Kyle help this girl pass thru this tough time and take care of his paralyze uncle (Matt) in one of the most delicate time in the United State and still believe he would never be like his father, he always admires him but also have a respectful fear for him, they didn’t talk much often but he knew his dad love him.
At the end, he stands up and thinks different, he knew that he has to let her go, even though it was hard to him; his father told him he was proud of what he has done that week.
